The California mess - it's our largest state, after all, with a population similar in size to Canada's - is going to be felt around the country. Kevin Hassett, at Bloomberg, believes it may kill off Obamanomics itself:
July 6 (Bloomberg) -- Last week, we discovered that the state of California will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
With California mired in a budget crisis, largely the result of a political impasse that makes spending cuts and tax increases impossible, Controller John Chiang said the state planned to issue $3.3 billion in IOU’s in July alone. Instead of cash, those who do business with California will get slips of paper.

So far Obama hasn't shown a single care as to what happens to the American people. His only concern seems to be how far he can push govenment policy to the left.
Amazing how you think someone that gives people health care doesn`t care about the american people, but you think that people that refuse to grant healthcare to the poor DO care about americans.
Unless of course, you don`t think that poor people count as american people. Then your opinion makes sense.
Maybe folks like yourself and Obama do see socialism as being a good thing. Many wrongs have been comitted by people who thought that they were doing good.
I have always been more of a "teach a man to fish" sort of person, rather than a "give a man a fish" person.
