If Governor Palin really does embody sincere "compassionate conservatism", that can only help the Republican Party, and in turn, the US.
The last political leader who said he was a compassionate conservative didn't turn out so well.
I fear her type of compassionate conservatism will be like the most recent we have seen. Consider that while being against abortion, she also slashed support for pregnant teenagers (except for her own, obviously). Does not sound very compassionate.
Yes, these guys will go FURTHER right in the spirit of bipartisanship?! Seems like that's what they are selling.
