The Associated Press reports that, counting PBS, over 40 million Americans watched Sarah Palin on television last night--more, by around two million, than saw Barack Obama in Denver.
I suppose we should say a word of thanks to the Daily Kos cesspool and the mainstream media who, together, tried to destroy Governor Palin but instead created for her a virtually unprecedented audience.

Not quite. The Nielsen plus PBS number is closer to 42.4 million:
"Nielsen said that 38.4 million people watched Obama’s speech as it was carried live by 10 commercial networks: ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, BET, TV One, Univision and Telemundo.
PBS also televised the speech, but didn’t pay Nielsen for a count of its national viewership. Based on a sample of several large cities, PBS estimated that an additional 4 million people saw the speech on its network. C-SPAN, which also televised the speech, has no estimate of its audience." Powerline is twisting the truth, as usual.
e, seems to me Powerline's source was AP. Were they twisting the truth?
Like when they proved Dan Rather was trying to subvert the election of POTUS in 2004 by using documents he knew were true. POWERLINE SCOOPED THE MSM ON THAT ONE.
2005 BLOG OF THE YEAR "POWERLINE"
See the new article - viewership tied when counting PBS stations.
Yeah, the BUSH AWOL documents were true.
Powerline can't add and couldn't wait to claim some sort of victory.
