Can't say it's a lie if it isn't.
Here's the blog post, straight from Nielsen.
Don't you love how when Obama had 38M they said this was historic. Super Bowl like. No questions about how Nielson works or anything about PBS or that his speech was covered by 4 more nets than either McCain or Palin.
Then of course McCain beat him and then along comes little Miss Sarah and slaps both the boys in the ratings. Now we get lectures about how Neilson works and whether or not PBS was in the ratings. Like oh my goodness. Neilson had never heard of the Proganda and BullSh*t network.
That "tophat" on the Northern border of Minnesota that sticks up into Canada is more water than land so votes from up their had to be delivered by boat. So it became the joke, if your guy was losing, politicians would always say "we have to wait for the vote from THE CANOE PRECINCTS."
The media is jumping all over this without looking at what Neilsen covers and what it doesn't. This is a preliminary number with no breakdown. Neilsen does not measure CSPAN and most PBS stations.
