To read Sarah Palin's shockingly shallow Going Rogue , one is immediately struck by how nasty and vindictive Palin is, and that her book is little more than a veiled mechanism for settling scores with old foes who have triumphed over her throughout Palin's lifetime. Is Palin really going rogue ? Hardly. Getting even is more like it. Palin's biggest score to settle is with those senior advisers-- Republicans all--in the John McCain campaign, on whose shoulders Palin lays the blame for her failed and tortured debut on the American political stage last fall. Most notable among them, of course, is "The Bullet," Steve Schmidt, who took over McCain's teetering campaign in July of 2008 and was a staunch advocate of Palin's selection as McCain's running mate. He has told the Huffington Post that P

The vanishing GOP??????????????
Are we talking about the same Republican party that on 11/03/09 won BIG in N.J and Va.? New Jersey, the bluest of blue states goes Republican and you're talking about the vanishing GOP.
In Virginia, the gubernatorial race was a Reaganesque landslide for a solid Conservative Republican and you say, the vanishing GOP.
Here's my advice to all my Democrat friends. Keep believing everything is flowing smoothly for the Dems. Hey! Obama's president isn't he, Healthcare passed the House didn't it, we're trying WAR CRIMINALS in New York city aren't we???
So, please, for the sake of the country, keep believing the party line about the vanishing GOP. What ever you do, don't look at the polls (Gallup/Rasmussen) that show 40% of Americans view themselves as Conservative, while a mere 20% consider themselves Liberal. Whatever you do, don't look at the county by county returns from New Jerseys gubernatorial election, just keep repeating your mantra: the vanishing GOP.
"Sarah Palin's shockingly shallow Going Rogue"
This response by the radical leftwing HuffPo, is entirely predictable.
Now is the moment to jump all over Sarah Palin. Push the Socialist Party line.
Palin is shallow, stupid, didn't go to the right schools, blah, blah, blah.
Only reviewers have copies of the book, so get the Socialist Party line out there. Shape the debate before the public gets to read the book and make up their own minds. DESTROY SARAH PALIN that's the goal.
Marlowe asks a rhetorical question:
Why is the vast leftwing media smear machine spending so much time and effort to smear little old Sarah Palin??
No one listens to her, she is shallow, she didn't go to the right schools,
SO WHY DOES THE LEFTWING HAVE IT'S MEDIA SMEAR MACHINE IN OVERDRIVE ABOUT THIS BOOK???
I'll let Rush Limbaugh answer that question, "Who does the leftwing fear? Just look at who they smear, that will tell you who they FEAR."
If they didn't fear Palin they wouldn't even review her book.
The Democrats are following Alinsky's tactic of personalizing the opposition. They did it to Gingrich, Delay, Cheney, Rove, and now it is Sarah Palin's turn. When they are through with her, they will turn on another Republican. It is in their blood.
Marlowe, you know how the game is played. Why complain? Yes they fear, just as the right fears. It's how the game is played. I thank God that McCain did not become the president. She is grossly underqualified. Place someone on the ticket with smarts, a sharp mind and a vocabulary. Stop running idiots and supporting dunces like Joe the Plumber.
