After all the hype, how many Teabaggers showed up yesterday? Nate's got the numbers, and it isn't pretty. That's just embarrassing. Even with all of that free broadcast media and all of those fatcat backers , the Teabaggers didn't come close to matching the turnout of recent actual grassroots protests And as a point of reference, more than twice as many Americans wanted to see the Spice Girls in concert last year . Put another way, more Americans saw "Race to Witch Mountain" last weekend than all those white people who showed up "Teabag: The Movie" yesterday. Now that's something kinda funny

I'M A REGISTERED INEPENDANT who was a Democrat my entire 55 years; I knew
of some neighbors who were fed up with all the excessive spending and who decided to throw a rally months before you ever heard even one word mentioning the idea on any news programs. I went on Tax day because I heard the crowd was so large that it was literally wall to wall people, so I have no idea what planet you are getting your information from, BUT ITS NOT AT ALL CORRECT, AND WE ARE ONE OF THE SMALLER CITIES AND ONE OF THE SMALLEST "TEA PARTIES" OF THEM ALL. Hey,
I understand if you don't agree with the people who protested, but the very least you can do is REPORT HONESTLY instead of being so immature. I talked to lots of Democrats, Independants like myself, and republicans, but they all said the exact same thing: THE RALLIES ARE NOT ABOUT POLITICAL PARTY, THEY ARE ABOUT SPENDING TOO MUCH MONEY LEAVING OUR GRANDKIDS IN EXCESSIVE DEBT, AND THEY ARE ABOUT TAXATION THAT WILL HAVE TO HAPPEN IN ORDER TO PAY FOR ALL OF IT, AND MOSTLY THE RALLIES ARE ABOUT MAINTAINING OUR NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY, for example Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer are pushing to sign a treaty handing over our parental rights to the U.N, just as one example. Those I spoke to just want to put the brakes on and slow down so that we all understand what it is we are willing to give up in the name of government help. Every tv news outlet I've seen, including those who openly hate conservatives, they estimated the tea party total numbers at over 550,000 people, and at the East Coast that meant people feeling so strongly about showing up at them, that they did so after a long day at work, and in 35 mile per hour winds along with temperatures as low as 35 degrees, and raining so hard that many had to pull their cars over to the side of the street several times before arriving. YOUR BIAS IS OBVIOUS. Instead of lying and
mocking people, why don't you stop for a minute to realize that the rallies were not about liberal vs conservative nor were they democrat vs republican. WE WERE ALL
KINDS OF PEOPLE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND FROM EVERY PARTY. WE CALL
OURSELVES " A M E R I C A N S ".
Wow, 'really true'. With a user name like that, it makes it almost dificult to believe that you aren`t a paid shill for the republican party. There is no freakin way I believe a word you said. From claims about being independeant but also a democrat, to believing outright lies about Hillary Clinton, you are one one of the most blatant republicans pretending to be an independant that I have ever seen. (P.S. there is no such thing as an 'independent' that believes tv news outlets openly hate conservatives. One of the hallmarks of being an independent is that you don't believe silly little partisan lies like that.)
