When Barack Obama was running for president, he made no secret
about his plan to "restore common-sense regulation"—read: increase
regulation—by closing the regulatory loopholes he thought the
Republicans had opened. Deregulation, he argued repeatedly, is the
source of evil. Much like Franklin Delano Roosevelt during the
Great Depression, Obama offered a sweeping, ambitious agenda: new
financial regulations, new labor regulations, new energy
regulations, and more. Today Obama is the president-elect of the United States. With
Democratic majorities in Congress, he will have tremendous power to
push his "reforms." And unlike FDR before him, President Obama

Arguments on this forum are advanced with the usual rhetoric that liberals raise taxes and grow government. This clearly indicates that Bush spent "more taxpayer money and issuing and enforcing regulations that any previous president in American history," In fact, it was twice the spend of Bill Clinton. Bush grew government by increases taxes and inflating a war. Problems were made worse by gutting regulatory oversight. The rich benefited in ways unimaginable under the Bush policies.
Obama has taken on quite a few problems the marxists and bottom-feeders on the right continually fail to acknowledge. Cianan the wondrous will begin to provide evidence of the short-comings of conservative thinking from the very sources that claims to be the fountain of conservative thought.
