I'll not list the examples of from both sides.
Feeding into this frenzy over sleaze is the MSM. Now don't get me wrong the NYT doesn't really care if you and three friends are injecting heroin and having sex with dogs in an airport bathroom in Minneapolis. As a matter of fact they would probably think it was tres chic unless of course you are a Republican. Then it would be front page news for months.
Now lets look at a few instances. Barney Frank's boyfriend is running a gay-brothel out of Frank's Georgetown townhouse. Result, Frank is still in office. POTUS is getting serviced in the OVAL OFFICE does he resign. No, does NYT call for his resignation? No! Richard Jefferson is caught with $90,000.00 in marked FBI bills in his freezer. Does he resign? No. Trent Lott makes an off-hand comment at 98y/o Strom Thurmonds birthday party. Thinking it's an off the record event. Does he resign his post as Senate majority leader? Yes. Does NYT call for him to resign. YOU BET. The hypocracy on these types of issues is indeed overwhelming.
