We have a special name for the gentleman who wrote this in the black community:) I wonder how much he was paid by the RIGHT to sell out.

Cianan:  Someone asked what have the Republicans have done for African-Americans besides free the slaves.  A Republican congress created the freedmens bureau the purpose of which was to integrate the freed slaves into society.  Republican congresses passed civil rights acts in 1864, 1866, 1870, 1871, and 1875.  They passed the 13th amendment, over Democrat opposition, which banned slavery;  they passed the 14th amendment  to put an end to the Black codes; and they passed the 15th amendment which gave African-American men the right to vote.  Some Republicans were against this amendment because they were afraid that the African-Americans would vote with the party of the slave owner.  Funny how that worked out.

Democrats were attacking Blacks and being found not guilty.  Washington created military tribunals so the perpetrators of these crimes could be punished.

Human rights violations committed by Democrats against African-Americans.

To get around the 13th amendment, the Democrats would arrest Blacks and send them to prison where they would be sent out as convict labor.  This was neoslavery.   To get around the 14th amendment, Democrats passed Jim Crow laws and dared Washington to enforce the 14th amendment.To get around the 15th amendment Democrats privatized education making it unafordable for Blacks to educate their children.  Then they made literacy a requirement for voting.

The Democrats used violance to intimidate African-Americans.  Here are some paragraphs on the riot in New Orleans:

New Orleans Riot of 1866

On July 30, 1864, angered by the enactment of the Black Codes in Louisiana, and by the legislature's refusal to give black men the vote, the Radical Republicans in Louisiana reconvened the constitutional convention of 1864. While only twenty-five white delegates meet in New Orleans, they were joined by 200 supporters who were primarily African-American veterans from the Civil War.

Former confederates, aided by the New Orleans police, fearful that the state would fall out of Southern, white control, attacked the gathering. Both the blacks and the delegates were targets and were shot even after raising white flags of surrender as they tried to flee the building where the convention was being held. Cyrus Hamlin, son of former Vice-President Hannibal Hamlin wrote, "The wholesale slaughter and the little regard paid to human life I witnessed here" was worse than what he had seen in battle.

Local police, rather than assisting those under attack, participated in it. Federal troops had been called for assistance but by the time they arrived it was too late to prevent the violence. 100 persons were injured in the fighting and thirty-four blacks and three white Radicals were killed.

There was also the colfax massacre.  The 1928 Democrat convention was called the Klanbake because of the Klansmen who were delegates.  There was a cross burning in conjunction with the convention and the Democrats were unable to add a plank to their platform condemning Klan violence.  During the administration of Woodrow wilson (a Democrat) the civil service was segregated.  That is right, under previous  Republican adminsitrations, Blacks and Whites worked together.  Every attempt to pass an anti-lynching bill was blocked by the Democrats.  

The bottom line is if you want to belong to the party of the  slave owner, knock yourself out, but do not call us Republicans racist.
